Gazelle, here we go
Hey everyone :)
Last months, we have been very busy with the development and the promotion of Break The Moon, but we don’t forget our other projects.
We are glad to announce a new release of Gazelle, the Social Network of Interactive Stories!
A small recap of the app features (from the Play Store) :
Do you rembember these “Choose Your Own Adventure” books?
#gazelleApp brings the genre of Interactive Literature back into fashion ; adding mobility, creativity, simplicity, sociability, and all the great things in “-y” the 21st century brought us.
It is the Social Network of Interactive Stories.
You play and create immersive adventures, and share them with the world.
The possibilities are endless.
Short stories to read or write in the public transports, in your bed, at school.
Complex and brilliant stories nobody will never finish.
Quizzes.
Lessons and Tutorials (a great educational support for teachers!).
Cooking recipes.
Business presentations.
Private joke with your friends.
Or whatever your imagination will create. ;)
The new release brings a lot of improvements:
- Many graphic improvements (app and website).
- Bug fixes.
- Illustrate your pages with the beautiful photos (free to use) from Unsplash.
- The Web Reader to allow everyone to read your Stories with a PC browser!
- The Web Creator to create Stories with your PC browser!
The Web CreaWTF ?
Typing long texts on mobile or tablet is sometimes uncomfortable. That is why the Web Creator, a web-oriented “light” version of the Story editor, allows you to use a good old PC keyboard. It will also be useful to people who don’t own a smartphone.
Pretty much the same than the mobile version.
The only difference: you can import or export your work in progress to a .gaz file.
Once your Story is written, you just have to click the button with a small Gazelle head:
Then, scan the QR Code with the Gazelle app on your mobile (or on a friend’s one).
It will copy the Story you have created with the Web Creator to the Gazelle database.
And ?
We need a lot of feedbacks to improve the app and fix the bugs.
Many features still have to be implemented. Ability to play a background music, more efficient way to sort the pages of complex stories, better user profiles management, user subscription to a channel, etc.
But let’s be honest. What we need the most is Content.
Indeed, the size of the readership is an important motivation for aspiring writers to publish on the platform. Conversely, if there aren’t many stories to read, people will be less likely to register — it’s a vicious circle. We must therefore succeed in reaching the “critical mass of users” that will allow the application to live on its own.
That’s why we added the Web Reader a few months ago. It allows you to read the stories directly in the web browser, without the need to install anything, app or plugin. No matter how large the userbase is, your creations can be read and shared by anybody!
We will also focus on communication. On the menu: featured stories on social networks, a trailer, contests and many other surprises.
So. If you feel like a writer, if you want to have fun with your friends, if you want to promote your association or company through an original media, or just pass the time in public transport, you know what to do! ;)
Finally, be informed that that we now have an iPhone for our mobile developments (thank you Sabrina! ❤), and an iOS version is in progress.
Don’t hesitate to share and to follow us on social networks!
