As a species, we so often presuppose the “gifts” that make our daily lives easier, more impactful and less stressful. Now, why is this? Presumably, it is down to the fact that those things, appear natural, almost as if they had always existed because the notion of them not existing now that they do is unfathomable. Air travel and travel in general, crowdfunding and the internet most notably are all incredible innovations that we take for granted, which better our livelihoods by maximizing our time, energy and efficiency. The latter especially is where Hiway comes in. And, although we hope not to be one day taken for granted, we do wish for our platform to be seen as a gift to those seeking work and those looking for a job to be completed, helping to shape recruitment towards a more fruitful future. As we prepare for the upcoming launch of Version 1 of our platform, we hope this marks the development of an idea that will be seen as an irreplaceable innovation in the way in which we work, hire and connect.
So what exactly are we building?
Well for a start, it is almost built — the Version 1 (Alpha) of the Hiway platform at least. The purpose of our creation is to provide people with a platform that can instantly match an employer with an employee, a job searcher with work and a community of professional freelancers to diverse projects. Going back to our earlier statement, the Hiway platform encompasses the best functionality to improve efficiency, simultaneously improving the whole recruitment process. Hiway is perfectly placed to address the existing issues of traditional recruitment agencies because of the extensive industry knowledge held by our founders, Simon and Thale. They both share the experience that is invaluable to understanding the current and future status of recruitment, placing them perfectly at the helm of developing a product that can truly make a difference. Imagine applying for a job and immediately being offered the position. Or consider yourself searching for a specialist to complete a job you have on offer and instantly being matched with the ideal candidate. Sounds good? In fact, It sounds like the ultimate solution in our opinion to the current processes that exist today, which are time-consuming, expensive, inaccurate and often disorganized. Thankfully, Hiway is a few short steps away from responding to the existing limitations within the recruitment industry by launching its Alpha platform in only a few weeks time.
Utilizing Blockchain for the GIG economy
To reiterate, Hiway is built with a clear goal: to be the platform connecting digital natives in the blockchain sphere with the companies and workers of the future. By fusing AI with blockchain technology we are able to offer a fair, flexible, transparent and intelligent marketplace for work that benefits every individual involved, from freelancers to prospective companies. Consequently, due to technological data revolutions and a newly emerging class of workers, there is a massive opportunity for reviewing how we approach recruitment and cater to this growing segment. And just like peas in a pod, Hiway’s upcoming platform will comfortably slide into a space that is feverishly requesting a contemporary alternative to the traditional mindset held by existing recruitment corporations.
What can you expect in our initial Platform launch?
What we have made clear today is that there is a chasm in the market and a real need for a more modern way of approaching employment — both for the employee and employer. To address this, our first working platform will contain key functionality and a sharp user-friendly interface that will be ready to use. As they say, “form follows function” and our initial design will act as an opportunity for first users to analyze and test the workings of our Alpha, helping us to refine it towards a fully functional final version. The initial product will enable you to create a personal or company profile. Post a job. Scroll through listings. Communicate between parties and handle payments through blockchain smart contracts. Packed with first-class functionality, specifications and a blockchain driven spine, our foot is on the gas pedal and our hands firmly gripped to the steering wheel as we race towards launching V1 of the Hiway platform. Recruitment might genuinely never be the same. Similarly to all the great ideas that come to actualization and make our lives better, in a few years time you may hardly believe that at one time in the past, finding work and getting a job done could have been so laborious. Luckily, that is all about to change!
On a final note, we know that our prototype won’t be perfect, and we don’t expect it to be. It is a start and also an ideal opportunity for us to gain insightful feedback from our first batch of users. In order for us to gather as much information during the first phase, a feedback pop-up will appear on each page of the platform where users can leave a comment, reaction or question regarding elements of the prototype. Together with our burgeoning community, our ambition and work drive we will do everything within our reach to make the most appealing and functional platform we possibly can.
