Back in April, I wrote a story about the horrifying behavior of Pastor Mark Gungor and the awful way he treats women. Basically, Mark prides himself for being a leading marriage speaker, while simultaneously filling his Facebook and Twitter feeds with cringe-worthy jokes about how men only deal with women for the sex.

Ba-dum bum.

It's been several years since I left evangelicalism, so I'd forgotten who Gungor was. I rediscovered his work (like the video above) recently, because I follow Sheila Gregoire, who published a book this year called The Great Sex Rescue. For the book, Sheila and her team surveyed 22,000 women and found that when Christian couples followed the advice in leading evangelical books on marriage and sex, trust went down, sexual problems increased, fewer wives enjoyed sex, and more marriages ended in divorce.
