This is the third installment of the Mission 72 series, capturing stories from campus the first week of school.

House parties. Waffle bars. Water slides. Dodgeball. You name it — if it’s fun-loving and engaging, we are using it to meet students and start building friendships.

In the first three days of school, our leadership team has already met almost 2,000 students. Each one of those students has a different story, but we believe all of them have a God-given destiny and that we’ve met them for a reason.

“Last night I invited a student over to hang out at our house and he mentioned that his roommates went drinking, and how he was already feeling the pressure of the college culture. He said he was thankful to find a like-minded community of guys to connect with.” — Sean

“Yesterday I spent the majority of the day with a student I had met. I introduced her to different people in our church community; after dinner, she said she was interested in exploring her faith now because of how open we were with it.” — Rachel

“While a group of us were playing the most epic game of dodgeball, I really connected with a student who came to college looking for a church to attend. When I showed him the video for our event Survivor Weekend, he responded, ‘dude, how do I sign up?’” — Nick
