HORDE is Evolving. Introducing The Infection, Plot Mutations…AND MORE NFT SCENES!

While the Zombies have yet to overrun the first HORDE plots, the contagion has already spread. As of 15/10/2022, the HORDE ecosystem has been INFECTED. Well, the protocol is not really sick, it might be better to say HORDE is evolving and maturing. The protocol still offers up to an incredible 300% ROT (Return on Token) and there are a few ways to get there now.

HORDE has been going strong for over 200 days and the goal of the team is to keep it going forward.

The protocol has been maturing step by step since its launch and now HORDE is taking its next big steps toward cementing its place in DeFi and becoming as sustainable as possible for years to come. Changes have been put into place to move HORDE more and more towards a project that shares the income with its holders as many successful businesses and projects have done before it.

These changes are proactive steps to move the HORDE protocol forward. So many DeFi projects have been poorly planned and executed, waiting until the project is on life support and then attempting a hail Mary in an effort to stave off a collapse. These changes implemented by the HORDE team are not a sudden, knee-jerk reaction but rather part of the progression of the project toward self-sufficiency.

The article will outline the changes, but I will give you a TLDR here.

The 8 things you need to know.

1. All HORDE plots have been Infected.
2. Starting 15/10/2022 Plots will continue to pay 1% per day UNTIL the first claim since Infection.
3. Once rewards are claimed on a Plot rewards will reduce to 0.5% per day, and the lifespan of the Plot will double.
4. You will still receive all your rewards, they are not being reduced since the lifespan will double.
5. MUTATION IS PERMANENT.
6. Plots with NFT scenes attached will not mutate when claimed. ****IF YOU REMOVE AN NFT SCENE PLOT WILL AUTOMATICALLY MUTATE, EVEN IF YOU DO NOT CLAIM ON IT*****
7. UBER plots are Immune from mutation.
8. More NFT scenes are coming.

The Infection and Plot Mutations

A few caveats before we jump in.

#1. HORDE still provides a 300% ROT.

#2. Rewards have not been cut, rather the timeline of when they are paid can be extended. Plot holders are still able to get 300% in 300 days if they choose.

The mechanics of The Infection and Mutations work like this. All Plots are Infected. There is no change to a Plot until the rewards for that Plot are claimed for the first time since The Infection.

Once a claim is made on an Infected Plot, the Plot then Mutates.

A Mutated Plot will produce 50% of the daily rewards it had previously produced. For example, a Mutated Plot will produce 0.05 HORDE per day, and a Souls Stone 0.025 HORDE per day. Since all Plots have a set lifespan, once a Plot Mutates, the remaining lifespan will double so that the FULL AMOUNT OF REWARDS are still available. Mutation is irreversible, once a Plot mutates it will stay Mutated.

Available and Claimable rewards shown on HORDE dApp Dashboard are not affected when Plots Mutate. The available rewards are what Plots have already produced and they will not change if you choose to Mutate any Plots.

Ways to Avoid Mutation

While Plots are infected and will Mutate when a claim is made there are a few ways to avoid Mutation. The first is to have a HORDE NFT Scene attached to the Plot. If the Plot has an NFT scene attached it can be claimed upon and it will not mutate. If an NFT scene is removed from a Plot it will instantly mutate whether a claim has been made on it or not, so please be careful when moving NFT Scenes.

The other option is simply not to claim on a Plot until it is decayed. This strategy will ensure 1% daily rewards for the life of the Plot.

Also, Uber Plots are unaffected by The Infection and will not Mutate, as NFTs cannot be attached to Uber Plots.

Dynamic Tax Structure

As always HORDE’s price is set between its range of $99–$112 thanks to the ever-vigilant Liquidity Manager (LM). This has not been lowered, in fact, at launch the price range was $95-$105. To try to incentivize holders to sell above $99, and thus preserve the LM balance a dynamic Sales tax structure has been introduced.

The sales tax for HORDE tokens has always been 10% on all sales. The following tax structure is now in place:

Price above $104 : 0% Sell Tax

Price between $100-$104 : 10% Sell Tax

Price below $100 : 20%

The majority of the Sell Tax goes to the LM just like before mutation! There is also a 10% Transfer Tax on the $HORDE token as well.

MORE SCENE NFTs!

On October 22nd HORDE released 750 more NFT Scenes! The first 500 were minted within minutes, but some Church Scenes are still left. These scenes are a multi-function tool in one’s HORDE toolbox. They not only boost daily Plot Rewards by 5%, 10%, or 15%, but the NFTs also keep the plot they are attached to from Mutating when claimed. Owning one of each NFT Scene will also unlock the ability to make 1 Uber Plot. Uber Plots cost 15 HORDE tokens to produce 0.15 HORDE per day, have a lifespan of 333 days, and ARE IMMUNE FROM MUTATION.

Mutated Plots can also benefit from NFT Scenes. While it will not reverse Mutation, it will boost their daily rewards by 5%, 10%, or 15% depending on the NFT applied.

Wasteland Cabin — 5% boost- Cost: 3 HORDE

What is next for HORDE?

As a protocol HORDE will continue to do what it always does: Build, Innovate, Create and Deliver. In just over 200 days HORDE has expanded from a DaaS project to an ecosystem that has so much going for it. Just this month on 4/10/2022 HORDE launched its long-awaited TBaaS Zombie NFTs.

This collection of 10,000 NFTs will give holders a monthly return from a proprietary Trading Bot just for holding them! At the time of writing over 4200 have been minted and the Trading Bot will go live on October 31st! Rewards from the Trading Bot will be claimable every 21 days and part of the returns will be compounded every month meaning holders should receive higher payouts month after month.

But there is so much more in the hopper at HORDE! The Wasteland Defense P2E mobile tower defense game has entered Beta testing, limit orders are being added to the dApp, and the team is working on a DEX and Launchpad. There are also LMS projects that use HORDE’s LM technology to support their token price. These projects continually feed income into the HORDE ecosystem.
