Thank you for following HotFlash, the publication dedicated to helping women in midlife navigate menopause, deal with changing family roles, and empower themselves in new careers and relationships.

It’s been a tough week around our home. My wife’s father-in-law is back at home following being hospitalized for hallucinations associated with dementia. We get regular updates from her mom about his plans to get his keys back so he can drive (he absolutely cannot) and whether or not he’s willing to go see his doctor.

Maybe you are also dealing with a parent or in-law with dementia. Here’s this week’s story that might make you feel a little less alone.

When Dementia Creeps Into Your Family

I have personally been mystified by the various symptoms of menopause including stress, depression, and anxiety so bad that some women can no longer leave their homes. Why aren’t we better informed and prepared?

THAT Could Be A Symptom of Menopause?!

This story was added “Just for Fun,” which is also the name of a new section of HotFlash. Sometimes we need a break from the seriousness of menopause, aging parents and finding more fulfilling careers. Here you will find stories about pets, food, wine, and other stuff that makes us smile.

Ridiculous Things Dogs Do That We Love

That’s it for this Round-Up. Have a wonderful weekend!

Please consider forwarding this to your friends who might enjoy and benefit from reading HotFlash stories. “Don’t just smolder — ignite!”

Peace,

Dakota
