The Dubai Bus is slow
If you are considering public transportation in Dubai the Bus will be the slowest option, as it stops much, and drive in busy streets. Still, the bus stations are only on the main roads, and you will have to walk for 5 min for your last destination. Check the map of Dubai bus routes, it covers most of the city, and in many cases, it’s the only public transportation reaching your destination in Dubai. (This won’t help you if you are preparing your documents in Dubai)
Metro is the best public transportation in Dubai
If you can reach your destination by the Dubai metro this will be your best option. The timings of the metro are pretty accurate. and at the same time, you don’t have to deal with the heat and waiting for the bus in the street. The Dubai metro system covers most of the popular and busy places in the city, but yet don’t cover the new neighborhood on the outskirt. so you might need to change between the metro and the bus to reach your final destination.
Make sure to purchase a nol card for all your bus and metro rides. you can charge your nol card for weekly unlimited trips. (This will come handy while you are looking for work in Dubai)

Get your nol card, Charge your card and have a weekly unlimited pass if you are using public transportation a lot.
Know the metro timings, Metro might close early as 8 pm on weekdays and late as 1 am on a weekend. So make sure to check when is the last train for your station.
Get a license and rent a car for long trips or a couple of days. if you have some long trips and transportation don’t reach your area, just rent a car for a day or two.
