SCOUT Military Discounts Raises $125,000

On October 14th, SCOUT Military Discounts, a Portland-based company developing a mobile app to help military personnel find businesses offering military discounts closed a round of funding. The company is receiving $125,000 from the Elevate Capital Fund and the Inclusive Fund. The company is co-founded and led by Army vet Cody McGraw.

We, humble, are very proud of the work Rob, Cody and the SCOUT team has been able to accomplish in such a short time. This funding is a HUGE milestone for a team that’s been bootstrapping the hard way in order to reward servicemen and women for their sacrifices. Team SCOUT was selected to participate in our virtual accelerator program, Start Humble.

Start Humble is focused on responsibly maneuvering to product/market fit
through identifying risks, early adopters, and sales & investment strategies.
Our 1-week in-resident ‘stabilization’ and 11-week virtual facilitation starts by examining the business model, traction model, use of proceeds, addressable markets, go-to-market strategy and team. We conclude with a 1-week in-resident preparation for Demo Day.
