Many on Wall Street were left scratching their heads in March when Carl Icahn disclosed a 52.3% stake in Voltari Corp. (NASDAQ:VLTC). He’s not the only billionaire taking a look at bite-sized stocks — and liking what he sees.

Last month, Carl Icahn surprised many by increasing his ownership of Chesapeake Energy (NYSE:CHK). The billionaire now owns 11.19% of the company, the stock value of which has dropped by more than -40% over the past year and recently hit a new 52-week low.

A regulatory filing revealed yesterday that Carl Icahn purchased an additional 6.6 million shares of Chesapeake Energy (NYSE:CHK). The transaction, which took place on March 11th, is valued at an estimated $93 million. The billionaire now owns 11.19%…
