iBriz Launches the Most Awaited Harmony Mobile Wallet

The hMoney.ONE has been launched to support further development of dApps and the expansion of Harmony adoption globally.

Harmony, one of the fastest and open blockchains for decentralized applications, has achieved secure and random state sharding. It supports several nodes in multiple shards which produce blocks within a few seconds with instant finality. Furthermore, its sharding comes with secured proof-of-stake and decentralized randomness ensuring that networking achieves optimal cross-shard routing and fast block propagation.

However, Harmony Protocol didn’t have a dedicated mobile wallet that supported ONE or any other HRC-20 Tokens.

iBriz received a grant at the end of July to build a mobile wallet for Harmony protocol. The wallet was much needed for further development of dApps and expansion of Harmony adoption globally. The mid of September is the time when iBriz launched the most awaited harmony mobile wallet, also known as hMoney.ONE.

Stake, Delegate, and Claim rewards

The app comes with features like wallet creation and managing ONE and other HRC-20 tokens. If you are holding ONE token or are planning to, the wallet app might just be the one you need to have on your phone. The security of the app has been well taken care of with biometric login and PIN code requirements, which is both for login as well as initiating transactions. Users will be able to stake, delegate, and claim their rewards with further development in the wallet.

The hMoney wallet is developed in collaboration with Harmony as a part of the “Harmony $7M Grant”. Rigorous security audits have been completed on the wallet before it went live to ensure the safety of users’ funds. While iBriz primarily focuses on providing a frictionless and intuitive UI for managing ONE token (also HRC-20 tokens), there are some bigger initiatives that the company is looking forward to.

As 2019 statistics suggest, there are 3.5 billion smartphone users in the world. This accounts for 46% of the total population with the potential of a higher growth rate in the coming years. With this, there seems to be a huge opportunity with further development in the mobile wallet.

There is also other exciting news as iBriz is planning to bring more use cases with the hMoney wallet, some of them being DeFi and cross border finance. hMoney has already started its work to promote the development of ONE-based dApps with the integration of WalletConnect.

Connecting desktop Dapps to Mobile Wallets using WalletConnect

WalletConnect is an open protocol for connecting desktop Dapps to mobile wallets using end-to-end encryption by scanning a QR code. You can read more on why iBriz thinks the hMoney wallet can be one of those game-changing projects here.

Before the launch, iBriz ran a beta testing campaign rewarding 100 early adopters. The campaign ran successfully for 1 week bringing more than 120 people from the community as well as outside the community. The community showed enormous enthusiasm in testing the hMoney wallet and providing the feedback/issues. While the team have fixed some of the bugs/issues provided by the community they will also continue to enhance the product in the coming days.

iBriz also received some feature suggestions from the community that include:

adding more currency conversion,
having a dark mode for the UI,
receiving notifications for transactions made,
hiding the assets, and adding other Dapps in harmony within the wallet.

The company will be working to fulfill these features with harmony in the near future. iBriz team would like to thank the Harmony team, the community, advisors, validators, Harmonauts, governors, and everyone involved for the generosity and trust they have shown.
