iExec has released the first version of the iExec Portal, the new interface where members of the community can participate in community-related decisions and get rewarded for their contributions.

With the launch of the iExec Portal, iExec is taking another step to support our growing community. The main feature introduced with the iExec Portal interface is a Decentralized Voting tool, which allows users to vote on community-related decisions. It also enables holders to make the most of their RLC. Alongside the Portal, iExec has officially launched the iExec Community Rewards Program to reward outstanding community contributions that spread awareness of iExec.

Involving community members in community-related decisions

As the community grows, iExec aims to more closely involve its members in community-related activities. The iExec Portal introduces Decentralized Voting tool, allowing iExec followers to vote on proposals on Snapshot submitted by the iExec team. These proposals range from determining the format for AMA sessions to allocating community rewards. The iExec community could even drive future features for the iExec Portal 😉

How does this work? It’s very simple: the voting system uses the Snapshot platform. The platform takes a “Snapshot” of the Ethereum blockchain at the time of the proposal being created, and the number of tokens held in a users’ wallet at that time will be able to be used as voting power. No transactions of funds are made, so it does not ‘cost’ any RLC or Ethereum gas fees.

Who can participate? Anyone who holds any amount of RLC tokens in their wallet can vote and have their say in community-related decisions!

An open door to the iExec ecosystem

Speaking of RLC, the iExec Portal provides the community with a dashboard for their RLC portfolio. In the Portal, holders can see their portfolio balance and access educational resources on different ways to use their tokens (on platforms like Uniswap or Bancor, for example). This way, the community can be sure to maximize the value of their RLC tokens.

And what about the POAP badges? Users can receive NFT POAP collectibles from contributing to the project, whether it’s participating in iExec events, winning community rewards, or beta-testing a product. These POAP badge collectibles, which exist as NFT tokens, will be displayed on the Portal. When you’re connected with your wallet, you’ll be able to see them all at a glance. We hope you claimed yours if you’ve attended any of our last events!

Other features: From the iExec Portal, you’ll have a single point of entry to access the project’s resources and products. This includes the iExec Oracle Factory (to create custom oracles from any kind of data in less than 5 minutes) and the iExec Developer Rewards Program application form (where developers can submit their project based on the iExec protocol).

Rewarding the community for their contributions to the project

The iExec Portal is a major step in our ambitions to better value and support the committed iExec community. The Portal has been released in parallel with the Community Rewards Program. This new Rewards Program recognizes and rewards the most active and engaged community members for their contributions to the project. RLC prizes are distributed monthly for contributions ranging from content creation to tech expertise.

You can learn more about the types of prizes available and what you can do to qualify for rewards within the iExec Portal.

Head of Adoption Nelly Cornejo describes the Portal asa place to listen to our community, recognize and reward them for their contributions, and help them make the best out of their RLC tokens. With the iExec Portal, we want to offer an open door where anyone can join and benefit from our vibrant ecosystem”.

Go check out the iExec Portal here — we’re looking forward to hearing your feedback for this first version and to incorporating your voices to make the Portal even better. And keep an eye out for news about upcoming proposals for the Decentralized Voting tool!
