Part 7: An Untitled Story Sequence
My accountant ran away. I think.
At least, that’s what I think Peter said last night. That doesn’t make any sense.
Why would he run away?
Who would want to leave Babel?

It is confirmed!
My accountant ran away with my money.
I finally got an auditor to assess my finances. That’s when I realized that I had no investments. I can’t believe I trusted one man to manage my finances and investments.
Come to think of it, it has been seven years, and I have never seen a single report on any portfolio.
I have been too glazed over to notice.
Too distracted!!!
The signs were always there. He was always introducing us to more.
What am I going to do now?
The auditor said that all my spending didn’t help matters. We had long stopped making money from throwing parties.
Soon after arriving, we realized we were not the best party planners.
Everyone seemed to have something special at their parties to draw people in.
A unique flavour (something we seem to lack).
So, we started going to other people’s parties.
At first, to check out the competition. But I couldn’t stop. It was like something drew me in, night after night after night.
Whenever I was fed up with a place, I would change to another and another, but nothing could satisfy me. Every night promised to deliver the peak I was chasing, but by morning, disappointment filled my senses.
But night after night, I would return in earnest expectation that I would finally be fed to satisfaction.
I thought that with my investments, I would be set for life, but that was just a bottomless pit of a man.
What do I do now?
Should I consolidate what I have now and leave Babel, or should I start taking the party business more seriously?
