Book Reviews | Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, by J.K. Rowling
The Boy Who Survived and Became an International Sensation
Have you heard about Harry Potter?
If you haven’t lived under a rock for the past twenty years, chances are you at least know who Harry Potter is. And perhaps you even read the books or watched the movies.
It’s pretty hard to write a review of something so well-known. But let me indulge myself and try it anyway.

But first: a disclaimer. I absolutely don’t condone Rowling’s transphobia (you can read more about it here). However, I won’t discuss it in this review. I respect you if you’ve decided to boycott Harry Potter and everything else Rowling has written because of her transphobic behaviour.
Although I despise her attitudes and comments on the subject, I decided to continue to enjoy Harry Potter and the wizarding world, which has been a huge part of my life growing up. If you want to discuss this further, I welcome your comments on the subject, as long as you keep them respectful.
