As years pass us by, ageism is getting worse. Whether it’s older people, younger people, or middle-aged people being bashed, Americans often take for granted how generational tensions have been a mainstay since the beginning of time.

To underscore this reality, I’m encouraging social commentators to check out my Jigsaw Gens series. I premiered this anthology during the second half of 2023, breaking down how modern-day generations are defined within the United States.

Those eight generations of the Twentieth and Twenty-First Centuries are…

Hemingrebels | GI-Gens | Traditionalists | Baby Boomers

GenXers | Millennials | Zoomers | Alphas

More recently, I’ve expanded that research to track the generations who existed throughout the Nineteenth Century — and prior to that. Those ten generations I’ve mapped out so far have been:

Missionaries | Stowegressives | Golden Renegades | Redeemers
