Ageism creeps up on us when we least expect it. People leverage this dynamic as a Lose/Lose scenario where either you’ve lived so long that your views are considered obsolete…or you haven’t lived long enough, and your life experience gets dismissed as shallow. To work toward ending this cycle, I’ve created “Jigsaw Gens” — an anthological series that looks at American history through the lenses of cultural differences and historical markers distinctly broken down by generation.

My first task was defining the eight main American generations of modern history, while exploring their parallels and divergences…
