Do you remember 2002 when a woman was on every TV channel, announcing that she had successfully cloned the first human, named Eve? Since that event, this lady seems to have been completely forgotten by the world. What happened? I researched a bit and found out the following.
This woman was called Dr. Brigitte Boisselier, a chemist and CEO of Clonaid, a company associated with the Raelian religious movement.
On December 27, 2002, she held a press conference in Florida stating that Clonaid had successfully created the first human clone, a healthy baby girl named Eve.
Clonaid was founded in March 1997, shortly after the cloning of Dolly the Sheep. Dr. Boisselier claimed Eve was born by C-section outside the U.S. but never revealed the mother or child’s location, nor provided any DNA proof to verify the cloning claim.
