No Gender November №1: Everybody Reads
This month, my 6yo and I are learning the language of gender fluidity.
Note: This is the part of the November 2018 “No Gender November” portrait series on my 6yo’s lunch notes. Follow along and learn nonbinary with me!

#Inktober2018 is done and #lunchnotes are non-binary. So I’m back in black for #nogendernovember. Like Inktober the goal is a drawing a day in the month of November. Unlike Inktober the prompts are simply representations of non-binary and nonconforming gender identity. Seems like an odd color choice but gender fluidity is pretty black and white to me.
As I’m still learning at 37, this kickoff drawing is about the drive to be a life long learner. This week, Max’s school is promoting it’s read-a-thon “Aquila Reads”. Reading is a great non-binary way to grow and understand the people in our community. My oldest XY read 180min this weekend. We’re so proud, Go Max!
Look forward to more drawings all month — beats growing a mustache.
