June is traditionally considered Pride Month for the LGBTQ+ community. In honor of Pride Month, this week’s prompt came from one of our queer writers, Fergus Tuohy. Though we are paying respect to Pride, we strategically wrote this prompt so that you can write about whatever you may be passionate about. Thanks, Fergus, for your thoughtful submission.

Pride celebrations were born out of an uprising that began in New York City in June 1969 (the Stonewall Riots). Here’s a link to read more about Stonewall and the history of Pride. Marsha P. Johnson, a black trans woman whose brave actions at the Stonewall Inn were a catalyst to creating what would become the gay rights movement.
