In the Name of Freedom, I Want No Protection

Protection = Control

Do you have a dog? Your Scwushii Wushii, your little Paw Paw, your loyal Lucky Bucky. Yeah? Do you put your Scwushii on the leash when crossing the street because you are afraid a car could run him over? You protect him, right? But you control him at the same time. Then you cross the street and release the leash to make it longer. What happens then? Scwushii gets more freedom, but he is still protected, still on the leash. Still controlled. Finally, you reach the park and you take him off the leash. Scwushii is chasing a squirrel, his ears are upside down, and his tail is wobbling from one side to another.

Full freedom. No control. No protection.

Society

Protection and control are two sides of the same coin. They don’t exist separately. Never.

Just as you protect your dog, the society aims to protect you, the people. In return, you grant them control over you.

WOOF, WOOF.

Fear is what makes people seek protection. If there is no fear, then society loses its meaning. Psychologists say fear is important because it keeps us alert, but what is it that we need to stay alert about? All fears have a root in one single fear — the fear of death.

Those who are not afraid of death, are free. Because they don’t need protection. And those who don’t need protection cannot be controlled. Not by the state, nor anybody else.

However, as of September 20, 2022, humans are generally still afraid of death. So from that point, we can only ask ourselves — is a certain fear justifiable or is it fabricated?

Let’s see a couple of examples that I will use to back up the premise that protection and control cannot exist without each other.

Cameras!

London is the city of cameras. They are everywhere. By now, in four years that I have been here, there is enough footage of me to make a documentary on any of the following topics — “Perro urinating in public,” “Perro barking at bus drivers,” “Perro preaching God at the tube station.”

If we exclude Chinese cities, London is the ninth most surveilled city in the world. It has 13.35 cameras per thousand people. Moscow is in seventh place with 16.85 cameras per thousand people. It seems that a passion for wars is not the only thing London and Moscow have in common.

There should be some drumbeat sound played on this platform whenever I throw a punchline.

“DA-DUM-DA-DUM”

Yes, cameras are there to protect people from violence, robbery and people who urinate in public. But they are also here to control people. Inevitably.

Data Storage

The digital age we live in has only deepened the amount of control over us. Yes, online services for data storage aim to protect our data. I get that. But man, the amount of control we grant to Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos and other wankers is surreal. I mean, they actually have access to the photos of your dick. And your fanny. From all the angles! And why? Because we fear we would lose our data, as losing data would mean some kind of digital death. Is that what we are afraid of? Fear of death?
Is that what it means to experience digital death? Is that why we grant them all that control?

Fabricated or justified fear? You tell me!

Ah, what do you know? You are still thinking about how you have sold your dick to Bill Gates.

Lockdown

And there we go!

Protection is control! Yes, you’ve got it by now. Control is protection! Correct. And that brings us to… Brace yourselves! Lockdown! Yes, lockdown. That period when we were excessively taking dick pics.

Yes ‘We’. Not ‘Me’.

Long story short — A new virus arrived and governments wanted to protect us. How did they do it? They put us in our houses. Wow! The ultimate protection, one could say. But guess what comes along with the ultimate protection? Yes, you are right — the answer is: The ultimate control. We have experienced an unparalleled level of control. We were literally tracked. Right, NHS? Tracked and traced.

Some countries actually have had officials coming at your door to check what you are doing. Wow! And if it was only just that. We have been controlled about what we could say, censorship has been introduced!

To impose the ultimate protection, a huge amount of fear is needed. The question is — was the fear about the virus justified or we didn’t need so much protection from that virus? Was the fear pumped by capitalistic agendas? Well, you had decided for yourself already before, so no point in going there. My point is simply that protection and control are two sides of the same coin and that the result of excessive fear was excessive control.

That is why they say fear is the key tool for manipulation. Because if there is fear, protection is needed, and therefore control is imposed. Manipulation is control.

Pope

Speaking of manipulation! Do you know what Pope Urban II did back in the day, some thousand years ago? That fucker promised to his crusaders absolution and remission of sins for all who died in the war against Muslims. In other words, he guaranteed them a place in Heaven and protection from Hell. Imagine the amount of control he had over them.

Well, enough to put at least 60 000 people on the leash and send them to liberate Jerusalem.

You see, there is no control over the one who doesn’t fear death. For he is the one who doesn’t seek protection. But what makes death so terrifying? Is it the concept of Hell that we are afraid of?

In that case, can we claim that all fears are fabricated?

The point humanity overcomes the fear of death will be the point when there won’t be control anymore. Freedom will set its realm while state, religion, capitalism and other sources of power and control will become the relicts of the past.

The essence of fascism is the need for absolute order. Fascism is on the rise. I am a dog, and I don’t rebel in the name of chaos, but for the sake of balance.
