Philippines Reports Highest COVID-19 Cases In Southeast Asia with 74,000 Total and 50,000 Active

DOH-Philippines reported of 74,390 Total cases which is more than 50,000 active COVID-19 cases, as 2nd nd highest in southeast Asia, which is 2nd only to Indonesia that has a 93,000 estimate total covid case as of today.

Philippines still gain as the 2nd highest Covid-19 cases in south east Asia after its neighboring Indonesia which is the first place in region.

Philippines reported by EATF and department of Health DOH as of Saturday that have a total of more than 74,000 active cases nationwide as the transmission of coronavirus infections continues rapidly day by day to soar in more than a dozen in some areas to areas nationwide.

Most of the new infections came from the Metro Manila with a total of 1,272 new detect cases followed by region 7 of Cebu province which estimate of 291 new covid case, followed by CALABARZON of Region 4A. In Laguna province with has estimate of 107 new cases , Rizal Province of 83 new cases, and Cavite Province of 53 new cases, with a minimal only of 144 have been recovered from the covid-19 positive to negative, bringing the total recovered of 24,502 but much still lower than Indonesia which has the highest covid cases in Southeast.

The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday reported an additional 2,103 new infections case after SWAB test result release nationwide. University of the Philippines (UP) experts estimate forecast of 85,000 cases by the end of July and still remained on track if it can reach their track forecast — UP experts said.

“The total number of confirmed covid-19 cases has reached 76,444 but number of people who have tested positive in 78 out of 90 laboratories nationwide nears estimate of 100,000-DOH “Health officials said.”

Another Fifteen (15) Covid positive fatalities have been recorded to death bringing the total number to 1,879.

Note — Most of the deaths recorded this month alone which is the majority have also come from Central Visayas especially on Region 7, ‘Cebu province’.

But the good news of this is that Department of Health (DOH) confirmed that the Philippines has joined the Gavi COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access (COVAX) facility which means that the global coalition WHO aims to fast track the development and access of new COVID-19 vaccines WorldWide.

“Kapag fully financed ang COVAX, maaaring mabigyan lahat ng participating government, gaya ng Pilipinas, ng naaayon na share at oras na magkaroon ng vaccine production,” Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire said on live briefing “Business Tycoon and CEO Manny V. Pangilinan of SMB and MPHI also confirmed that they would increase their bed allotment up to 30 percent in all Metro Pacific Holdings, Inc (MPHI) hospital affiliates” — Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Singh Vergeire reported.

The DOH had also advised to all hospitals to increase their allotments, especially in Metro Manila which is in the main center of the covid case nationwide.

“MVP also commit to East Avenue Medical Center of 250 newly Beds from MPHI company,” Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Singh Vergeire said. MAXIMUM HEALTH STANDARDS PROTOCOL AS OF JULY!

Government and DOH still calling to all of Filipino nationwide to follow the minimum health standards such as wearing face masks, washing hands, and maintaining social distancing, stay at home if not necessary to go outside, avoid physical contact and unnecessary group gathering to minimize the increase of Covid case. After quarantine restriction lift and eased on June, the number of those who stay outside their homes dipped and increased rapidly.

According to The Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey report showed that on may when quarantine protocol still strict that 64 percent of all Filipino followed social distancing but decrease to 59 percent in June when President Rodrigo Duterte announced a MODIFIED COMMUNITY QUARANTINE (MGCQ) in some areas nationwide. According to the report Residents in other areas, such as Mindanao and some parts of Visayas do not follow some protocols as frequently, since a number of provinces have reported lower infections. but Meanwhile, estimated survey report that 65 percent of Filipinos say they always wash their hands and some 30 percent of this says they do it most of the time. While 35% of this do not follow those protocols. But Other minimum health measures, such as wearing face masks is still more or less followed. According to this data shown below.
