Final Results for IOST Q2 2020 Contribution Rankings and Rewards
After rigorous and extensive evaluation, the IOST Foundation Evaluation Team completed the evaluation of contribution awards for Q2 2020 yesterday and officially announces the final results & ranking today, 13 July 2020.
Q2 2020 includes March 10 to June 30, for a total of 113 days, over 130 million IOST IOST contribution rewards and shares will be distributed this time. Among them, a total of over 65 million IOST are rewarded according to the contribution score and will be distributed to partner nodes according to their tier and to voters.
In this quarter, 17 nodes successfully achieved Tier 1 status, earning the highest rewards, each of Tier 1 node and their voters will receive a total of over 1.91 million IOST contribution rewards.
Final Nodes and Rewards Per Tier
All contribution rewards and ‘share of votes’ rewards for Q2 2020 will be paid out in full and automatically credited to each node’s account and their voters’ accounts (50% share) by the end of August 2020.
As prerequisites to receive contribution rewards, the partner must formally become a partner node within the quarter, that is, the node must have 2.1M or above IOST votes. In addition, IOST issues the rewards based on on-chain data and will distribute the rewards of all voters who voted via centralized institutions to the corresponding institutions.
At the end of July 2020, IOST will hold a global node meeting. IOST Foundation representative will also attend the meeting and summarize the contribution of Q2 2020 and explain the development status and roadmap of IOST in 2020. Nodes will summarize their contributions in Q2 2020 and share their plans for Q3. Partner nodes and community members are welcome to participate!
Note: Starting July 1, 2020, IOST will conduct ranking and reward distribution according to the Staking mechanism v4.0.
Final Ranking
Following on from the release of initial Node’s Q2 contribution results and rankings and conclusion of the dispute period, all results, rankings and rewards are now finalized for Q2 and listed below (in no particular order).
Building the IOST Node Ecosystem
In 2020, we optimized the contribution reward system of partner nodes and introduced the contribution reward system v2.0 and further updated it to v3.0, and v4.0 recently to provide more incentives for partner nodes who remarkably contribute to the IOST ecosystem.
In addition, we will further strengthen the connection with the node partners in 2020, and hold partner node conferences every month to provide a platform for everyone to communicate with each other and make progress together. We are sure that in 2020, the IOST partner node program will gain greater success, with more contributions, and more new partners.
With excellent rewards for nodes and their voters, we hope we have demonstrated the high value that building and contributing to the IOST ecosystem can have. With significant rewards, especially for Tier 1 and Tier 2 contributors, we hope to better incentivize nodes to keep contributing to the IOST ecosystem and achieve our goals of being the leading scalable and decentralized public blockchain in the world.
