Quick and Easy Guide to Receiving Crypto Payments with Starname

You have seen the Starname Profile and you think it is super cool, and you want to get your Starname. Great! But…. How do you register it? The blockchain world can be quite tricky for newbies — but don’t worry, here is the most direct and easy way to get your Starname.

Whichever way you choose to register your Starname, you will have your Starname Profile and it will work with all supporting applications to receive and send crypto — this is the magic of decentralisation.

Let us start with the bigger picture in mind to register your Starname:

Do you have a star1 address?

Depending on how much you know already about Starname and crypto services, you might be in a different situation:

• you might not know at all about star1 address, or
• you might be already set up, or
• you might be setting up your star1 address

No problem, here what you need to do in each case:

A- You ask “What is a star1 address?” or don’t care about a star1 address

then don’t worry about star1 address, you can learn about it later.

If you have IOV tokens on your star1 address and prefer paying with crypto:

Go to your Starname Manager (or Cosmostation on mobile) where your star1 address is set up, go to the Starname registration page, register your Starname and voila!

C- You are trying to get your star1 address

cool, you are a becoming an advanced crypto user. Setting up your star1 address is simple:

• On desktop, read the set up instructions in this post.
• On mobile, download the Cosmostation app and create your new Starname IOV wallet.

If you want to get IOV tokens

you can either:

• buy IOV tokens directly with a credit card

on starname.me/buytoken (no KYC required for purchases up to 150 EUR) or in the Balance tab of the Starname Manager.
