On March 1st, 2019 at 5:30 UTC, IRIS Hub was launched and today is the first anniversary. At this special moment, we would like to first thank all the community members for this wonderful journey together.
We would also like to take a moment to review what has been done in the first year as well as the plan for the 2nd year.
💪Plan for the Coming 2nd Year
In 2020, we are going to open source a version of enterprise permissioned blockchain to the Cosmos ecosystem. It is based on our work together with business collaborators such as Nanjing Digital Finance Industry Research Institute and Fosun to support business process collaboration in financial service and healthcare industries.
We are also working on a major upgrade of iServices which is anticipated to release in the coming month. In the new version, more complicated service (iService) management functionalities are supported. We plan to deploy iService based oracle service implementation and open oracle services to the Cosmos ecosystem. Oracle service is just one of the use cases that iService supports. iService is very useful in supporting onchain/offchina/crosschain interoperation, and we look forward to working together with our community to build more useful services to our interchain ecosystem.
While Cosmos IBC is the most anticipated innovation at our industry now, we would like to support its development and adoption. We look forward to the upcoming “Game of Zones”, and we are getting ready to provide Chinese technical support for the community for this great fun event together.
IBC is going to open up a whole new set of innovations for the blockchain industry. We would like to work on the IBC connection of IRIS Hub，Cosmos Hub and many other application-specific blockchains such as privacy computing focused, DeFi application-focused zones, etc. The unique capability of IRISnet to support data and computation interoperation across heterogeneous networks is going to add a lot of value to the interchain ecosystem. At that time, Rainbow wallet will bring user-friendly interfaces for users to access those capabilities.
The vision of the Internet of blockchain is at hand. Let’s look forward to this exciting moment!
