Thank you for checking out our latest initiative. We felt that a large number of smart and capable people were being excluded from the IT profession because of how intimidating it can be before you start your learning journey. The acronyms alone can make it feel like you’re reading a foreign language. I’ve looked into the eyes of many students and seen the fear and intimidation. At that point, I usually just back up until I hit a comfort area. “Everyone has done this…” or “Everyone has seen this…” Once the sparkle hits the eyes, I know that brain is ready to learn. I believe every human being is capable of more than each of us realizes. Education unlocks capability, but more importantly it builds confidence and belief in ourselves. Once you believe you can do something, accomplishing it is almost inevitable, all that remains is the hard work. None of us are afraid of hard work. Even what society labels as lazy, a procrastinator, worthless, etc. is just someone who has not yet found his/her passion and has not yet come to the realization that it’s attainable. An IT career may not be your passion, but if it is, this series is intended to show you that you can definitely do it.
