Welcome to our #ITProsWhoCare Spotlight series. This is an ongoing collection of posts that features members of our Community.

In our last release we learnt about Sonali and her vision to connect with like-minded people and share their talents in the best possible way.

In this release please meet Mario from Portugal— who believes that the only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary ☺

Without further ado and a big drum roll to another member of #ITProsWhoCare, here is his interview with us:

#charity: What gets you up in the morning? What is your life motto?

Mario: Knowing that every single day when i wake up i have new challenges, goals and the possibility help others to obtain their goals too. My life motto? Life is too short, enjoy your life and help others. And the most important “The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary.”

#charity: Describe the world you want your children to grow up in.

Mario: A world where proper education and healthcare is free to everyone!

#charity: What skills are you offering to the #charity NGOs?

Mario: I can help NGOs with their IT Infrastructures, from Web servers(IIS/jboss/Apache), databases(mongodb/SQL Server/MySQL), network, security, Cloud/AWS architecture to VMware and linux system administration.

#charity: Why are you here? What motivated you to support the #charity community?

Mario: I know that i can help! Because i know that NGOs need a lot of IT help and #charity is the path to solve that issue!

#charity: Tell us a little about yourself. What’s your story? What was a truly life transforming or meaningful moment in your life so far?

Mario: About myself, I am a Portuguese guy living in Atlanta,GA and working as IT guy/sysadmin for a software company. Already participated in a govathon (more information please visit www.govathon.com) and hackathons in Portugal.

I know that i can help! Because i know that NGOs need a lot of IT help and #charity is the path to solve that issue!

#charity: Where did you learn about #charity?

Mario: Discovered #charity through TNW and LinkedIn.

#charity: Anything else you want to leave the #charity community with?

Mario: I’d like to leave this message: Super Rock Star IT people, from developers to system admins come and join #charity! We need you! ☺ There are so many NGOs that need our help… spread the message!

You can tweet @pedrom_pereira under #ITproMario this week for questions, to meet him locally if you are around or just to say hi ☺
