A day in the life of a Berlin startup office dog.
Time doesn’t stand still for start-up pup, Milo. From greeting visitors to planning events, here is his typical day at Berlin product agency, ITR8.
8am: Wake up.
Morning coffee with my mum Judith, ITR8 Program Manager.
8.45am: Chauffeured to work.
I ride in the back seat, and take in the Kreuzberg views. I wave to the other office dogs along the way.
9.15am: Greet the team.
I give every team member a proper greeting upon arrival. Plenty of barking, tail wagging and puppy-dog eyes.
10am: Check for new smells.
I can smell the team had cookies yesterday… I discover the crumbs. Eat the crumbs. Find some nerf gun bullets. Eat those too.
11am: ITR8 door duty.
Greet our visitors. Including Sabrina, co-founder of our startup-in-residence kukua. Plus a few interviewees for our UX Designer job. Judith and Jana consult me on recruiting sometimes… I need to like the candidates too!
12pm: Lunchtime.
Nothing too carb-heavy, so I go for salad leftovers from the team’s Foodora delivery, while Semir, Jan and I work on user personas for a client project.
1pm: Lay in the sun.
Naps are important when you work in the fast-paced world of startups. I also do some yoga stretches to relax and unwind.
2pm: Time to work.
Feeling productive after my nap, so I cuddle up with Community Manager Steph to plan our next event. We check out our new members on Meetup… they look friendly to me!
3pm: Posing in the office window.
School’s out… and I need to look cute for the local kids.
3.30pm: Home time.
I bark farewell to the team, I’ll see them soon. Our Product Designer Ruben is preparing team breakfast tomorrow. I don’t want to miss out on his homemade jam!
