Beautiful Beaches and Deadly Scorpion Tequila on the Isla Mujeres in Mexico!
Our first destination for our photo / travel blog is the beautiful Isla Mujeres (Island of Women) in the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico.
Emma and I went out shooting one day and go a few nice pictures of the beautiful beach bars along Playa Nord! The water really does have that amazing azure blue. I have to say its one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen in my life and i’m Australian.
The island is pretty small and we stayed about 10 minutes walk from Playa Nord. Walking around there was plenty of nice scenery and the bright reds and cool blues make for some great practise photography material.
One evening we strolled around town trying to practise our night shooting.
We found a Tequila Bar and this cute couple were doing a Scorpion Tequila shot. The artificial blue and red lighting from the bar made for some amazing colours and the Scorpions gave off an a creepy glistening texture. Looks like the Tequila went down the way I would have expected! 😂
