Templates for promo tweets

The feature that best shows off the Job Garden philosophy is Twitter automation. Our view is that if a job appears on a job board but nobody sees it, that’s a waste of time. So we have this optional feature, used by job board owners, that automatically posts a promotional tweet each week.

The tweets even include a screengrab of the top of the job board, so followers get immediately informed and don’t need to click through. For example, here’s one of my own recent automated tweets, as it appears on twitter.com.

New feature: now job board owners can customise the appearance of that tweet.

Check out the Settings screen above. Two tweet templates are shown. The top one has a personal tone and includes emojis. The second is more formal and suitable for an organisation.

We even have the ability to have custom templates just for certain users:

Custom tweet template for ustwo Adventure

The tweet template for ustwo Adventure (see their jobs here!) opens with a 🚨 klaxon and includes some 👀 cheeky peepers.

It always surprises me how much character and brand can be communicated in even the shortest bit of copy. ustwo’s tweet proves that nicely.
