It’s all over the news, a massive move by some of the world’s largest corporations to create a global currency. But what does this actually look like?

If Libra succeeds, it will be holding hundreds of billions to trillions of dollars/euros/pounds/etc and using these funds to invest in a wide variety of bonds, equities, and more.

These organisations will be earning interest off holding your money. Furthermore, they will gain incredible influence in geopolitical affairs as they decide where to direct these investments.

A New Global Power

Whether this is a “good thing” or a “bad thing” depends entirely on how these corporations decide to use this new power.
