js13kGames 2019 hackday in Berlin

It’s starting to be a tradition - having an event in a physical location where we gather around and celebrate the start of the js13kGames competition together. This time it’s August 17th in Berlin.

Two years ago we’ve organized a meetup in Warsaw (called Launch Party back then), hosted on Monday, August 13th 2017 in the evening, and we had a discussion panel with judges and participants of the previous editions of the competition, and it went great.

Last year we’ve decided to move the event to Berlin as eBay offered their help organizing - it was a full day on Monday, August 13th 2018 where we started with an intro, and then participants coded their demos which were then showcased in the evening.

This year we’re going to have something similar to last year, but went for a more convenient day - Saturday. We will all meet in the awesome GameOn Berlin venue to kickstart 2019’s edition of the competition.

Thanks to eBay Tech we’ll have plenty of attractions in the form of real arcade machines and various different games. Food and drinks will be provided throughout the whole day (including BBQ!), and all that will be free of charge.

Hackday will start on Saturday, August 17th 2019 at 10:00 AM and end around 7 PM in GameOn Berlin that is located at Toeplerstraße 37. As you can see we plan to have it bigger and better than before. Coding challenge, BBQ, arcade machines - we’re going to have fun one way or another!
