It was this time last year we were inspired to help people keep their hearts and minds open long after the shock wore off. We enlisted the help of others and began teaching people how to adapt to living an inclusive lifestyle.

Without business partners, the original framework for the Bias Rehab Center was too much for me to handle by myself. Even though we had droves of enthusiastic supporters, open-minded customers ready to learn, and participants from all over the world. But all was not lost. In a short time, we accomplished a great deal:

  1. We met incredible industry powerhouses like Dr. Harriett Lewis, Maureen Chiana, Grin Lord, PsyD, ABPP, and many more!

2. Help psychologists understand the effect racism has on one’s mental health

3. Thousands of views on YouTube

What Now?

The Bias Rehab Center wasn’t a larger success because of my duties as the Chief Executive Officer of Velourit. Velourit is a B2B SaaS supply chain platform for the import/export industry. We’re making it easier for retailers to buy and track goods purchased from another country by digitally connecting the global supply chain from Latin America to North America. I’m proud to announce Velourit was approved for a 5-year USAID project in Peru.

Fortune 500 company, Fiserv, has partnered with us to bring easier online payments to the region. We’ve also been able to use this opportunity to invite Black-owned businesses that may have never been offered the chance to expand their businesses internationally.

In addition to being approved, we were awarded $1,000,000 in USAID grant funding to execute the project. A highly competitive grant this is a rare and wonderful opportunity for our tech startup to introduce Black-owned businesses to the world.

Lifestyle Brand

When I do return, Bias Rehab (name change), will be a lifestyle brand of t-shirts and hoodies that promotes living an inclusive lifestyle. Just like how Lance Armstrong’s Livestrong unites, inspires, and empowers people affected by cancer. Bias Rehab will promote and unify those who are willing to acknowledge and correct their hereditary biases.

I want to thank all of you for coming on this journey with me. Thank you for your continued support and patience, especially after the framework changed. Thank you for believing!
