How to use KCV STACKING
How do I Stack CityCoins?
CityCoins can be locked on the Stacks protocol for a voluntary period of time (“reward cycle”), earning STX as a reward. The rewarded STX comes from the 70% of forwarded STX from CityCoin miners. The earned STX can be further stacked to earn BTC rewards.
Do the Stacked CityCoins stay in my wallet?
No, they are transferred to the contract and can be reclaimed once the selected cycles are complete. Some examples are below.
- if you Stack 50,000 CityCoins for 1 cycle, then after the cycle ends you can claim the STX rewards for that cycle in addition to the 50,000 CityCoins
- if you Stack 50,000 CityCoins for 3 cycles, then after cycle 1 and 2 you can claim the STX rewards for each, and after cycle 3 you can claim the STX rewards in addition to the 50,000 CityCoins

Is there a minimum amount for Stacking?
No, however the STX rewards for a given cycle are proportionate to the amount you Stack versus the total Stacked in that cycle.
If the amount you Stack in CityCoins entitles you to less than 1 uSTX (0.000001 STX) then no reward will be received.
Can I change the duration of CityCoins I’ve already Stacked?
No, once stack-tokens is called the CityCoins are transferred to the smart contract and the values are set. There is no way to update it.
Important: You need to use Hiro wallet and access the KCV Stacking to start your stacking journey.
- Install Hiro wallet using the Chrome extension. You must use the Chrome extension to participate. Please DO NOT use the Desktop wallet or any other browser.
- Install from https://www.hiro.so/wallet
- Set up your wallet, which just involves saving your passphrase and creating a password.
Before Join KCV STACKING
Before proceeding with stacking, you need to read How to UPGRADE V2 first. Currently, only users who have been upgraded to V2 can proceed with stacking due to the upgrade of CityCoins.
To Join KCV STACKING
Step 1 : Open KCV STACKING and Connect HIRO wallet
Step 2 : Please select the CityCoin you want, and make sure to check the Cycle Length.
Step 3 : Check your ‘Balance’ and enter the amount of CityCoin for stacking. The cycle is around 2 weeks per cycle, and you can enter the number of cycles you want. The maximum stackable period is 32 cycles.
Step 4 : If you have entered amount of CityCoin and number of cycles, press the ‘STACKING’ button to proceed.
To Claim Rewards
Step 1 : you need to check the number of cycles to claim. When you choose the number of reward cycles you want to take, it will show you related information.
Step 2 : When you chose the number of cycle, please check ‘STX Rewards’ and ‘(CityCoin )to Claim’. If the information is correct, press the ‘Claim Now’ button.
To See Stacking Status
You can check the stacking history already processed and on-going stacking status. When you click the ‘more’ button, it will show you former information.
