We interviewed our customer Mr. Akira Suenami — A.K.A. Full-stack YAKINIKU. This interview is divided into two parts in Part 1 and Part 2.

About Suenami-san

Suenami san is a famous person among engineers, and he organizes “Suenami Chance”, which is “I’ll buy you Yakiniku in exchange for telling me what I want to know through the pair programming etc”.

I think there are various use cases. How do you use it? Or what use case do you have in mind?

I think it would be good to use a chatting room if it’s a detailed check on business or if it’s more casual, but I think that’s the biggest use, or a big change for now.

When I use it in 3 languages, I can basically communicate in English, but can I actually check the nuance in my mother tongue?

I think it’s okay to convey this in English, and I write in English that English is easier to convey, but it’s translated into my native language, so it’s easier to follow the flow.

You said that casual conversations on casual channels have increased, but did you actually feel that teamwork has become stronger, or did you find it easier for members to talk to each other?

You mentioned earlier that there is a culture of seniority, but I am the oldest among the members, and it seems that there was something wrong with being considerate.
Even if we talk in Vietnamese where I didn’t see it, we can follow the flow, so I think that the smoothness of communication was born.

Do you have any hope that Kiara will develop as a heavy user?

I think that the most popular platform right now is chat, but I hope that it will become a platform for communication beyond languages, such as various documents, video and audio communication, and global teams.
