Durian! Sweet Durian,
I’m told how
Wonderfully tasty
You are!
However, you were given to me
Somewhat more mature than
You should have been, and
By feck, I will never
Forget you, durian!

Your over pungent taste is one
Which has never left me
Along with your everlasting smell
Wrapped around my brain
Screaming at me to never indulge
In your misplaced delights again.

Try you I will not durian
As delightful as you may look
You will not entrap me
Into enjoying your
Luscious custard texture or
Alluring looks of temptation.

I may just come across
One of your deceiving cousins
Out for a quick moment
Of joyous sweet trickery!
I will not let you dance across my
Palate of misfortune again
My sweet rascal of a Durian friend.

Thank you for Reading. J.
