We want everyone’s story and knowledge to be told but there are certain points that need to be considered while writing an article. We wish to post content that is of excellent quality and that people desire to read

Get your Content Ready

From deciding on a topic to creating the whole article, you will need to follow these points:

  1. Check for the topics already published in our publication. This way you will not end up spending time on duplicate content
  2. Always keep in mind to create a storyline that is there should be a logical order from moving from one paragraph to another. This captures the reader's focus from start to end
  3. Use a catchy but brief title(eg: How-To questions or 5 tips/rules for something) with a lengthier subtitle that tells readers what your article is about
  4. Use pictures, screenshots, and flow diagrams — appropriate visuals make users understand your article in a jiffy
  5. Double-check your work for spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors. If you can’t do it yourself, utilize Grammarly

Procedure for submitting an article

Now that your content is ready, the next step is submitting it to us for reviewing and editing.

  1. Create your medium account — Go to medium.com and create your account. We recommend using a personal Gmail id, that way this blog stays with you even outside the organization
  2. Please send an email to us(Madhuleena Nath, Vinod Baste, and Satvik Sahni) with your article in a Microsoft word doc. In your email, please include your medium user id (Click on your icon in the top right corner and copy the ‘@username’)
  3. We will review, edit and schedule it for publishing

If you have published an article with us before then you can submit the article to KL’s Medium publication directly through Medium.

How do we Schedule the Publication of Your Article?

The scheduling takes place on certain criteria — first is your date of submission and second is the type of blog(tech/non-tech).

We try to aim to publish one blog per week alternating between tech and non-tech to provide readers with diversity. But this also depends on the availability of blogs.

We appreciate all of our writer’s efforts in sharing their views and knowledge with us. And we recognize blogs with exceptional performance(as per the stats provided by Medium) with an appreciation bundle

Certain Rules

There are a few points to note prior to submitting an article since by contributing an article to Knowledge Lens, you agree to abide by all of them. And we may edit your article to make sure these guidelines are followed:

  2. You control the rights to the content you produce and post on Medium, and hence Knowledge Lens, as stated in Medium’s Terms of Service. You are responsible for the content of your article
  3. For every article we publish, we use Medium’s Curation Guidelines. This implies the article has to comply with these guidelines
  4. Copyright infringement is a genuine possibility, and it might happen to you. It is your duty to guarantee that all text, photographs, and videos you include in your articles are yours
