Back in 2017, the ICO landscape was growing and prospering with projects raising as much as US$257 million. Two years later today, ICOs seem to not do as well anymore and people are growing increasingly wary when they hear the word “ICO”. Littered with scams and projects that never seem to complete their roadmaps, people have shifted towards IEOs as it solves one of the glaring issues with ICOs — post-sale liquidity.
Within the last two years, distrust was bred mostly due to the lack of developments by projects caused by various factors as well as the absence of liquidity. While IEOs could seem like the way out by ensuring liquidity, the development of projects are still important to be questioned.
Ultimately, whichever token offerings, be it ICO or IEOs, there are still factors to be considered besides liquidity. Here are some ways in which our own Kozjin team has worked hard towards to make (our) ICO great again!
Doing your own due diligence prior to participating in any token offerings is still necessary, but what are the key indicators that make a good project?
1. Assured exchange listing
A guaranteed exchange listing, as mentioned above, is one of the key things a project should deliver to ensure liquidity, as well as to onboard more users onto their community and platform. As a project ourselves, we are aware of these concerns and hence, have always worked towards building more trust within the community as a whole.
We have already guaranteed an exchange listing on DigiFinex, which we have recently held a signing ceremony with in Hong Kong. Our date of listing will be on 11th July — just 3 days after the end of our token sale.
2. Have a working product
For Kozjin, the mobile app is imperative to the entire ecosystem. It just did not make sense for us to not have an MVP — which is why we already had a working app even before our token sale was launched.
In our upcoming app update, Kozjin app will introduce a new UI with the following features:
- Send, deposit, access and manage crypto instantly
- Track tokens & currencies with analytics
- Kozjin chat allows users to communicate with each other, sending photos, files, audio messages, and supported crypto transfer
In our next major update, version 2.0 will unlock new features such as:
- Ability to buy and sell supported crypto besides KOZ through the app
- Kozjin card application/registration
- Quick exchange [token conversions allowed]
Through Kozjin app, payments between merchants and users are made easier and faster. Mass adoption is key, and Kozjin is dedicated to that vision by focusing on onboarding merchants.
3. An elite security team
Another recurring word that comes with crypto or blockchain is “hacks”. The security of the token sale platform, the mobile applications and platforms is crucial to safeguarding the community’s assets and data. This is something that we have always placed importance on, and is the least a project should assure for its believers.
We have previously introduced our Founder, CEO and CMO. Today, we’d like to highlight our Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer who are from AntiHack.me, a rising star in the cyber security space, also based in Singapore. Regular tech event attendees would be familiar with them as they have spoken at recent events such as Echelon Summit 2019 and Blackhat Asia 2019. They have also been featured on Channel News Asia as the first of its kind in Singapore’s cyber security scene. With their expertise and resources, we are confident that the security for all of our platforms is tight.
4. Existing users
Many projects add sugar, spice and everything nice on the roadmap section of whitepapers with no clear strategy in pushing for user acquisition. Kozjin is humbled by our existing community of 23,000 and growing, across Asia within the ecosystem.
We listened to the concerns of the community and have worked towards building a trustable and communal ecosystem. Mass adoption has always been Kozjin’s focus and vision, this is our solution to creating a transparent and cohesive ICO journey.
