Cardano
Cardano’s Weekly Development Update
This week’s Cardano development update shows progress across various teams. The core technology teams continued their work on node, networking, consensus, and ledger components. The Daedalus team released an update supporting Project Catalyst registration and enhancing exchange rate conversion. The Plutus and Marlowe teams focused on runtime monitoring, APIs, and planning. Hydra and Mithril teams made strides in performance improvements and mainnet infrastructure. Voltaire saw progress with CIP-1694 feedback review and the announcement of Intersect as a key institution. Project Catalyst entered community review stages, and the Education team planned the Haskell Course curriculum.

Mithril nears mainnet release
Mithril is a stake-based signature scheme and protocol designed to improve the speed and efficiency of node syncing times in the Cardano network. It enables quick and secure bootstrapping of full Cardano nodes, empowers decentralized decision-making, and supports a wide range of applications.
Mithril’s mainnet release is just around the corner.
Read this blog post 👉 here to recap what Mithril is, how it works, and how it helps with the fast bootstrapping of Cardano nodes.
Daedalus 5.3.0 for Cardano mainnet
Daedalus 5.3.0 Mainnet release brings several improvements and updates. It supports the new Catalyst registration process and requires registering with a regular payment address. Users who wish to participate in Fund 10 need to register again with Daedalus 5.3.0, as old registration formats won’t be eligible for voting rewards. The update enhances the stability of the exchange rate conversion feature and improves syncing progress percentage formatting. It also includes various dependency updates, such as cardano-wallet, Electron, Node.js, trezor-connect, and Cardano Ledger JS app. Additionally, the PGP (GPG) key used to sign releases has been changed.

Cosmos
Cosmos Hub v11 upgrade is coming
Gaia v11 is a major release with core dependency updates, a refactored Global Fee module, and the removal of the Liquidity module state as preparation for its future removal. Validators must update the Cosmos Hub binary upon governance vote approval.

Stride blockchain ➡️ Interchain Security
Stride blockchain has successfully transitioned to interchain security. Stride now secured by Cosmos Hub validator set; 15% of Stride block reward now going to Cosmos Hub.
This is the first successful chain migration to Cosmos Hub Replicated Security — It’s a historic day that opens a new pathway to the ATOM Economic Zone!

Circuit Breaker Module
The Circuit Breaker module for blockchain applications was developed to maintain high uptime while allowing specific transactions to be disabled, preventing disruptions to other applications on the chain. It enhances the robustness and reliability of the blockchain.
The Circuit Breaker will be released for versions 0.46, 0.47, and 0.50 of the Cosmos SDK framework, providing a stable, secure, and highly performant application-building toolkit for building application-specific blockchains.
