Copy Request Workflow
View, request and download videos across networks with latakoo
The latakoo system can be set to easily share content with account holders who do not have privileges to automatically download content.
For Users
Making a Copy Request
When copy requests are enabled, visitors to your network who do not have download privileges will see a new option — Request (instead of download).
Clicking the dropdown will present the user with a list of networks where they have download privileges. Selecting one of these networks will indicate which network will receive a copy of the file, if approved. The user simply selects a network and hits the request button.
For Administrators
Enable Copy Request
Copy request functionality can be enabled as the default for an entire organization. It can also be adjusted on a network-by-network basis. To enable copy requests today, please contact latakoo support for help.
System Architects and Administrators are able to enable the copy request feature through latakoo Manage by simply clicking the copy request toggle on for a specified organization or network.
Notification of a Copy Request
As soon as the request is made, Architects and Administrators for the network with the content will see an indicator pop up decide the word Manage in their navigation bar. They will also receive an email alerting them of the request.
Clicking on Manage takes that individual to the Manage page where they will see the same indicator over Pending Requests.
Approve or Deny the Request
The Architect or Administrator can view the request by clicking into Pending Requests.
The latakoo system will report who made the request and where they would like the video deposited. The Architect or Administrator can select a video and approve or deny the request. If the request is approved, the video is automatically copied to the designated latakoo network and the requestor is informed via email. If the request is denied, and email is sent to the requestor letting them know that they will not be receiving the video.
