Although I have been involved in personal development for years — even decades — and have experienced many mindset shifts, and heard a lot, there is an aha effect every now and then that changes my views again.

So also with an inconspicuous sentence from Tim Denning, namely “A job is level 1 of a career.” — WOW (!)

As I read this, various thoughts came to mind, and recall the past.

Not that this new ‘awareness’ would have changed anything about my current nature or my (life or business) goals, but many years ago this might have been THE sentence that could have changed everything.

Levels are a good link to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs

Before that, my view was that there were different ‘games’ with their own different levels — either you have a job or a business.

I like this one-game, level-based view more: Business is the next level or step after the job.
