Swan Song for My Brother
I’m in the pursuit of happiness and I know
Everything that’s shining won’t always be gold
But what do I do when you’re no longer here
How do I feel when your body’s turned cold?
Mother’s Day
Happy Mother’s Day
How can one poem fit all that I have to say
You’ve been in my life since my eyes first were open
I was blessed with your looks, smarts and wisdom (I’m hoping)
Family Matters
Our family has grown and we’re thinking about what’s next
No more selfish buys or impulsive nights
No room for wasted paychecks
There’s less room in our bed but now it’s that much warmer
Our Plus One
There will come a time when our pair becomes a trio
Our coupling will become a family
I can see our future like Miss Cleo
We’ll add a little person or maybe a furry face
