However, you might be asking: What exactly is the 9in9 movement? Why is it something that Tokopedia and Tokopedia Academy aspire for?
The 9in9 movement was initiated to support President Joko Widodo’s instruction regarding the national digital transformation in 2030. It was projected that Indonesia needs 113 million digital talents by 2030, but now, Indonesia still lacks 9 million digital talents. This number is only achievable with consistent participation and partnership between industries, universities, and learning partners.
With our innovation and technology, we believe that we can do so much more than just providing a good shopping and selling experience for our buyers and sellers. Since then, Tokopedia Academy aspires to become one of the most extensive learning grounds for Indonesia’s future digital talents and connect people in the community. Learning curriculums are carefully selected; some are created by Tokopedia tech experts or Tokopedia Academy’s content partners. For visual and aural learners, Tokopedia Academy has 14 active programs to participate in: START Summit, START Women in Tech, Behind Great Product, Design After Hours, DevCamp, and many others. In these events and workshops, participants can also build networks and learn at the same time.
