Last week was special for two reasons: Picnic started delivering in Eindhoven, our 50th location, and some of the groceries were delivered by the 500th ePV. Or as our Runners call it, ‘The Green Machine’.

Victor, one of Picnic’s designers, decided to make the 500th ePV stand-out. He wanted to demonstrate how Picnic and the fleet of ePVs are fighting to reduce Co2 emissions — making our air cleaner and the world greener. As an electric fleet, every kilometre they drive makes a difference. In the last 365 days, the ePVs have travelled 2,191,463 km — that’s 55 times around the world!

And in that time, Picnic has grown from delivering in 24 locations to 60. As Picnic grows, and the ePVs deliver to more and more neighbourhoods, we continue to have a positive impact on cities, towns, and villages.

The benefit of having groceries delivered by Picnic is two-fold. While ePVs reduce air and noise pollution, they also deliver to the doorstep, so people no longer need to travel to supermarkets. This means that together with our customers, we’re reducing traffic, improving the air we breathe, and keeping neighbourhoods safe.

Not only is our 500th ePV bright green and vibrant, it represents how far Picnic has come.

Here you can see the difference between our 500th and the 1st ePV. From the beginning of our fleet development to the latest innovations, we’ve continued to expand and collaborate with new customers.

Each innovation helps us grow, and our dream is to make sure that everyone in the Netherlands and Germany can benefit from buying their groceries with Picnic.

If you’re lucky, you’ll see this unique ePV delivering groceries…it’s hard to miss!
