Lightstreams: Mainnet Updates…
It has been one week since the Lightstream Network went Live and the team has been very busy preparing for the distribution of PHT tokens and testing the network ready for use by the public. Thank you for your patience during this time.
Here are some updates on what’s been happening and useful information.
Security Testing
We have been undertaking a number of security tests of the network, internally by our team and in conjunction with third-party teams. It is essential that we take this time to ensure that the new network is secure and without any critical issues. The current status is:
- Network: A penetration security report has successfully passed.
- Infrastructure: A third-party framework that we are using for network monitoring has been highlighted with having a critical issue. Our team is currently working on this resolving this issue.
- Distribution: The smart contract for distributing native PHT tokens has been completed and is currently undergoing a security audit.
Preparing for Distribution
Right now, we are giving purchasers time to confirm that they have given us PHT compatible addresses for receiving their purchased tokens.
If you are a participant in our Private, Presale or Public sale rounds is very important that you are in control of your private key in order to unlock your purchased tokens. Please see the following instructions for the officially supported method for creating a PHT wallet where you are in control of the private key.
Where do I submit my updated wallet address for receiving my PHT tokens?
Private / Presale — SAFT Holder
If you have been issued a SAFT agreement directly by Lightstreams then you would have already received an email with instructions.
Private / Presale — Syndicate Member
If you were a participant in a syndicate/pool that outsourced their KYC procedures to Lightstreams, you can update your Receiving Account using the following link.
Please use the email address that you used for KYC registration. If you have forgotten the email address you used to register then contact us via our helpdesk messenger on our website. Click the message box in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
Public Sale
If you were a participant in the public sale and did KYC via Altcoinomy, then please contact Altcoinomy Support who will assist you.
Why do I Need to Create a Metamask Wallet?
Although Lightstreams is Ethereum compatible, the Lightstreams network has different configuration parameters than the Ethereum network for connecting to the network. To execute transactions on Lightstreams, you will need to digitally sign a transaction message (such as sending PHTs) using your private key along with new configuration parameters for connecting to the network. We will be publishing these parameters and how to configure your Metamask wallet shortly. It is for this reason, that it is essential that you have control of your private key. This means you are able to export your private key from an existing Ethereum wallet. You may not be able to export your private key from a hardware wallet or a crypto exchange wallet. To be absolutely sure, we recommend generating a new digital wallet using our Metamask instructions.
When will the Distribution of PHTs Occur?
We still have the following outstanding tasks that we are working on:
- Testing the network and resolving security issues.
- Ensuring we have collected all receiving accounts.
- Preparing the distribution scripts.
- Working with partners on network integration and a possible launchpad.
