Welcome to Live View, A Place for Photographers

My vision of Live View is to bring together talented photographers — each with a unique perspective — to share their stories. As editor of this Medium.com publication, my request is for them to focus on topics they’re excited about. I believe this approach brings out the best in artists.

During my own writing career, I saw the difference between assigned subjects versus those I pursued on my own. There was far more energy in the articles I felt connected to.

I learned that readers appreciated my enthusiasm. It was contagious. And I think they trusted me more as a result.

If I were to sum up Live View in one word, it would be passion. Our writers are here because they want to share stories about topics that inspire them. We have a happy wanderer, a motorsports fan, a gear head, a biologist, and a street shooter.

Every Tuesday, beginning April 4, we’ll publish their stories and explore their discoveries. As their interests evolve, so will the content.
