In 2017, CryptoKitties revolutionized the digital pet concept by bringing it to the blockchain world. Each cat was unique with different attributes that people embraced the idea of owning one. A digital pet with breeding capabilities and has a storing value got people really excited. This was the beginning of the blockchain gaming era.
In 2021, existing GameFI projects were able to amass an average of $5 billion in NFT trading volume. In a flash of inspiration, many GameFi projects were born. To some, investing in GameFi (play-to-earn) projects became a way to create an alternative revenue stream amid the exciting gameplay each project offers.

Playermon is a boundless NFT Game where anyone can explore and battle in the universe with their favorite Playermons! Players are able to colonize planets, earn resources, and battle other players with their playermons.
This game is a turn-based card gameplay system. All players need to form a team of Playermon. Each team consists of three Playermons. Players are required to choose 3 Playermons and position them strategically. The placement of Playermons can provide an advantage over the opponent.
No different from normal pets, any Playermons can reproduce. To breed, a player needs to choose two Playermons and pay for an amount of PYM and SGEM tokens. PYM and SGEM tokens collected will be burnt after successful breeding.
Every Playermon will have its corresponding Dominant parts, Recessive 1 and Recessive 2 sets of parts for mutation. There will be a certain percentage for every part that comes out with a new breed Playermon.
StarMon (full name: Star Monster Metaverse) is a 3D Play to Earn blockchain game based on BSC network. StarMon built a virtual world called Andres, where there are many creatures with magical superpowers — Starmon. In this world, players can capture, train and breed a variety of Starmons, and earn corresponding crypto assets by participating in adventure, battle and other ecological contributions.
StarMon’s battle mechanics are turn-based, with players controlling their Starmons from a third perspective. Each turn, the enemy and the Starmon move once in each line until all enemies are defeated.
Each Starmon race has the same six racial values, but they vary from race to race. The racial value can be interpreted as the growth rate of the six ability values as they increase in level. Therefore, the different specices also determine the different ability values of the Starmons, distinguishing them from tank, attacker, special attacker and assassin types.
The basic elemental attributes determines the restraint relationship with other Starmon’s elemental attributes. There are 13different starmons with different attributes living on the Andres continent, and different restraint relationship has a great impact on the battle.
Starmon’s genes for evolution will also be rated in four ratings, C, B, A and S. A Starmon can evolve at grade B and above, and it needs to eat a Starmon of the same race while evolving. The number of Starmon required for evolution varies according to the rating requirements, the higher the rating, the lower the number is required. SMON for evolution will go to the community treasury.
Kryptomon is an NFT Digital Pet game based on Binance Smart Chain that blends the cute and addictive gameplay of Tamagotchi and the intense strategy of Pokémon battles. In Kryptomon, players will be taking care of their own digital monster called “kryptomon” and train them to become the strongest in the Kryptomon Metaverse.
Personality Traits make a kryptomon unique from others. Certain traits can be improved through rigorous training. Training your kryptomon is vital in winning future battles. Training will improve your kryptomon’s stats making it stronger, better, faster than other kryptomons.
Breeding is a complex process. Expert breeders calculate the offspring’s genotype and stats by using a mathematical formula to create their kryptomon. In order to breed, Trainers who want an Egg will need to obtain it from other breeders in the marketplace.
The is a game centered around collecting and training digital pets. Players will get to spend countless hours honing their kryptomon into perfection. There are 5 growth stages: Egg, Baby, Young Adult, Old Adult, and Old. Each stage will have a significant role in terms of training, fighting, and breeding.
One of the world’s first blockchain games. ‘Blockchain’ is the technology that makes things like Bitcoin possible. While CryptoKitties isn’t a digital currency, it does offer the same security: each CryptoKitty is one-of-a-kind and 100% owned by you. It cannot be replicated, taken away, or destroyed.
Players can collect and breed adorable kitties. Each kitty has a unique genome that defines its appearance and traits. Players who breed their kitties will be able to create new furry friends and possibly unlock rare attributes. A certain amount of gas fee will be required to make breeding possible.
The virtual cats are breedable and carry a unique number and 256 bit distinct genome with DNA and different attributes that can be passed to offspring. Traits can be passed down from the parents to the offspring. Other features like cool down times are not passed down but are instead a function of the ‘generation’ of the offspring, which is one more than the ‘generation’ of the highest ‘generation’ attribute. Once you’ve got your paws on some CryptoKitties, you can put them up for sale or Sire them to the public.
World Of Cryptoids (BSC)
World of Cryptoids is a massively multiplayer online game that was inspired by Pokemon. Players can breed, own, and monetize their Cryptoids using a variety of blockchain based tokens. It is an NFT based digital pet universe where players battle, raise, and trade Cryptoids. The game is available through browser and mobile.
Three Cryptoids are required to form a team. Defeat various monsters in different stages, to receive rewards in the form of $mCGC and unlock new levels. As Cryptoids defeat stronger and harder bosses, they will start to level up and gain increased attributes .
The Arena promises to be an adrenaline rush for all players involved. Players form teams of Cryptoids to fight against other players and determine who is the Cryptoid master. In this exciting turn based action game, each player will need to use both skill and wit to determine when to use the right skills and at the right time. Players will be confined to similar rules as the Adventure mode and will have a limited number of energy to use each turn.
Cryptoid owners should understand that each Cryptoid has different counters and weaknesses. Because of these factors, choosing the correct Cryptoid for battles will be of the utmost importance. There will be seasonal rankings available and those with the highest ranks on the ladder will win fabulous prizes.
Cryptoids can breed with each other to produce superior Cryptoids which share similar traits. In order to avoid hyperinflation and to sustain the game economy, the more times a Cryptoid has bred, the more expensive and thus harder it is to sustain the production. The maximum number of breeds will be capped at seven per Cryptoid. A combination of both $CAC and $CGC will be required in order to breed Cryptoids in addition to a pair of Cryptoids.
