Signs and Symptoms of Age Related Vision Problems

Above 40yrs, you may notice that change in your vision. Macular Degeneration

It is associated with ageing that gradually destroys sharp and central vision which cause the blind spot to form central vision. It caused due to deterioration of central retinal tissues.

Symptoms

• Blurred vision
• The blind spot in your vision
• Visual distortions, such as straight lines seeming bent

Dry Eye

It occurs when the eye does not produce tears properly, or the tears or not in proper consistency or evaporate quickly.

Symptoms

• Burning sensation
• Itchy eyes
• Fatigued eyes
• Dryness sensation

Eye Floaters

An eyeball is filled with jelly-like substances called vitreous humour. Microscopic fibres within the vitreous tend to clump together creates come floaters in vision

Symptoms

• Small shapes in vision
• Spots that move when you move your eyes
• Spots are most noticeable
