Background
Bitcoin is awesome. But at Luxor we think it is missing something. Zcash improves on the original technology. Bitcoin and most cryptocurrencies expose your entire payment history to the public. Zcash is the first open, permissionless cryptocurrency that can fully protect the privacy of transactions using zero-knowledge cryptography. That is why we set up Luxor’s first Zcash mining pool!
Zcash is the latest addition to our services as a pool operator. We are pleased to continue to provide our miners with more options and to support the Zcash community. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Luxor, we are a altcoin pool built for high quality cryptocurrencies. We originally started with Sia and Decred and recently joined the LBRY, Loki, Monero and Aion communities.

Setup Guide
To get started, navigate to your dashboard by finding your miners’ IP address using your router or scanner. Your page will look something like this:
You should see the option to mine with a number of different pools. We’re going to set it up with Luxor’s Zcash Mining Pool, the best mining pool — disclaimer: we’re slightly biased :)
Type in the pool setting as follows:
URL: stratum+tcp://zec.global.luxor.tech:700
Worker: [LuxorUsername or YourZcashAddress].workername (workername can be anything, but avoid using symbols or special characters as it may be invalid). More on user accounts here.
Password: 123
How to OverClock your miner?
Follow these steps:
- Navigate to Miner Configuration > Advanced Settings
- Select your desire frequency from the dropdown list
- Click Save and Apply
- Monitor Board Temperature and Chip Temperature
OverClocking can result in damage of your miner, do it at your own risk. Always monitor the temperature of your miner so it doesn’t overheat.
Once you’ve started hashing, grab yourself a beer! It’ll take about 5 minutes for your worker to appear on our stats page. To find your user, simply login and head to the Workers tab. You should see something like this:
