Background
Horizen is a platform designed for private communications and private economic activity. Cutting-edge cryptography and zero knowledge proofs enable fully anonymous peer to peer communication. Horizen’s distributed and encrypted networking design is resistant, to traffic correlation and metadata analysis. That is why we set up Luxor’s first Horizen mining pool!
Horizon is the latest addition to our services as a pool operator. We are pleased to continue to provide our miners with more options and to support the Horizen community. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Luxor, we are an altcoin pool built for high quality cryptocurrencies. We originally started with Sia and Decred and recently joined the LBRY, Loki, Monero, Aion and Zcash communities.

Setup Guide
To get started, navigate to your dashboard by finding your miners’ IP address using your router or scanner. Your page will look something like this:
You should see the option to mine with a number of different pools. We’re going to set it up with Luxor’s Horizen Mining Pool, the best mining pool — disclaimer: we’re slightly biased :)
Type in the pool setting as follows:
URL: stratum+tcp://zen.global.luxor.tech:700
Worker: [LuxorUsername or YourHorizenAddress].workername (workername can be anything, but avoid using symbols or special characters as it may be invalid). More on user accounts here.
Password: 123
How to OverClock your miner?
Follow these steps:
- Navigate to Miner Configuration > Advanced Settings
- Select your desire frequency from the dropdown list
- Click Save and Apply
- Monitor Board Temperature and Chip Temperature
OverClocking can result in damage of your miner, do it at your own risk. Always monitor the temperature of your miner so it doesn’t overheat.
Once you’ve started hashing, grab yourself a beer! It’ll take about 5 minutes for your worker to appear on our stats page. To find your user, simply login and head to the Workers tab. You should see something like this:
