Follow the directions below to set up your HS5 to mine Siacoin with Luxor Mining Pool. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us on Discord or comment below.

1) Installation

First, connect an Ethernet cable to your miner, and plug in the power cord at the bottom of the miner. Turn on the miner, then both the red and green status indicators will blink at the same time indicating a power-on self-test. After that, if the red light goes out and the green light remains on, the miner is started successfully.

Next, you will need to obtain the miner’s IP address before proceeding to configuration.

Since most miners now come with DHCP enabled you do not have to manually set the IP address, you just need to look at the IP table on your router or use a scanning tool. On the controller board, click the IP Report button (above). Hold it down until it beeps (about 5 seconds) and then you should be able to locate it.

A scanning tool like AngryIP or Locator from Minerstats allows you to scan every device on your network and see its IP address.

You can also get the IP address of the miner through the batch processing tool provided by Goldshell — Yotta BC1.4.9. Please go to the official website to download: https://github.com/goldshellminer/YottaBC).

After getting your miner’s IP address, you are ready for Configuration.

2) Configuration of Settings

Access the Interface

First, you need to open a web browser and enter the miner’s IP address; the following interface should appear.

Language Setting

HS5 supports 6 languages. Click the flag icon at the top right to switch languages.

Unlock the Miner

Click the ‘Unlock’ button at the top right corner of this page and input the password to unlock. The default password of the miner is ‘123456789’. Then click “Unlock” below “Password”.

Change Password (Recommended)

Please change the password after the first boot to protect your miner.

  • Unlock your miner.
  • Enter the ‘System’ page, input the corresponding old and new passwords as shown below, and click the ‘Change’ button.

3) Mining Pool Setup

Add a Mining Pool

Click on the “Miner” page on the left panel, then click “Pool Settings” — “Add” on the right panel.

Enter the Pool Information

Enter detailed pool information below and click “Apply”.

URL: stratum+tcp://sc.global.luxor.tech:700

Port: 700

Username: [LuxorUsername].workername
(“Workername” can be anything, but avoid using symbols or special characters as it may be invalid). More on user accounts here.)

Password: 123

Wait for the pool to get connected, and then click on the Home page. If you find a hashrate curve in the chart, the pool configuration is successful.

4) Monitor Revenue and Machine Performance

Once you’ve started hashing, grab yourself a beer! It’ll take about 5 minutes for your worker to appear on our stats page. To find your user, simply head to the Workers tab. You should see something like this:

You can also view details through Sia block explorer.

Enjoy your new HS5!
