Lykke Lists KIN Token and Supports Mainnet Swap
Zug, Switzerland, March 13, 2019 — Lykke, a Swiss-based FinTech company building a global marketplace for the low-friction exchange of financial assets enables today Kin (KIN) deposits to Lykke Exchange to allow Kin holders to take part in the project mainnet swap. Kin, the cryptocurrency for consumer apps, powers the Kin Ecosystem to facilitate better experiences for consumer app users while offering developers a fundamentally new way to monetize.
Now, new and existing participants in the Kin Ecosystem can deposit Kin to their Lykke Wallets using the Lykke Wallet mobile application and the Lykke Web Terminal. The purpose of this listing is to allow Kin holders to swap their ERC-20 Kin tokens, launched during the 2017 token distribution event, for the new native Kin coins running on the Kin Blockchain. Trading and withdrawals will be enabled when the mainnet swap is completed.
Lykke will be accepting Kin token deposits within March 19, 2019, to allow the token holders to move their Kin holdings to Lykke Exchange for the swap.
The Kin Ecosystem has been taking shape over the last few months. Thirty-three apps, including chat app Kik, leading augmented reality beauty app Perfect365, and dozens more consumer apps, currently offer Kin-powered experiences to millions of real users. Twenty-seven of those apps were launched through the Kin Developer Program, an initiative that empowers developers to build Kin-enabled experiences in consumer apps, while allowing Kin to quickly expand its ecosystem. A second program was recently launched to empower up to 100 more developers to build with the coin.
As more consumer apps continue integrating, the Kin Foundation, the nonprofit governance body for the cryptocurrency Kin, is prioritizing token liquidity for all participants in the ecosystem.
The Lykke Wallet mobile app is available for download on iOS and Android devices, and the Lykke Web Terminal is available via web browser. Lykke Wallet app and Lykke Exchange are integrated, it means that by using just one single app you can both trade and store your assets.
Additionally, Lykke offers its users a fiat gateway, which makes it easy to deposit funds in EURO, USD, GBP or CHF and trade them for crypto with a 0% trading fee.
